Our Central Access Service is a new product that provides a bridge between wireless hotspots, Surf Easy, internet access controllers and payment stations, allowing you to operate multiple devices and multiple stores from one user database.

Here are some of the ways it can be used:

  • allows users to have one account for your desktop terminals, internet kiosks, wireless hotspots and in-room broadband

  • works with Surf Easy Self Serve to accept cash payments for wireless hotspots and in-room broadband

  • works with Serve Easy POS for manual account generation by a staff member allows users to buy access at one of your sites and use the same account at any of your locations or stores

THE EASIEST WAY TO STORE USER ACCOUNTS
FOR OPERATORS WITH MULTIPLE SITES

By enabling certain settings in Surf Easy, you can have your internet cafe user accounts work directly from our database server, rather than storing them locally at just your site.  This means that every user account you have could be used at all your outlets or sites.  This is perfect for adding value and customer loyalty to your business.

How does it work?

Our solution works with any device which supports AAA RADIUS. This includes the most popular wireless hotspots and internet access controllers, including the Netcomm HS960, ZyXEL ZyAir G4100, and Netcomm IAC4500.

Once you subscribe to the service we will help you setup your devices and Surf Easy software to point to our Central Access Server. From that point the system will be up and running.

The system can accept the following user payments:

  • coin and note payments

  • through a self-serve automated payment station

  • manually through our Serve Easy POS software

  • credit card payments online (requires a merchant service)

When combined with our Surf Easy Self-Serve software your customers can simply walk up to your payment station, create a user account, insert their coins or notes, and then be ready to surf the net on either their laptop or your user terminals. Customers can then use that one account on all your devices at all your sites and outlets. You can set the system to automatically generate usernames and passwords, or to allow the user to choose their own. We’ve automated the process so that the system can run 24/7 without any staff intervention

We have a large server based in Sydney that sits on a very fast internet connection.  This server run a Microsoft SQL Server database engine, which is setup to store user accounts for Surf Easy and also RADIUS tables for wireless hotspots

How long does it take to setup?

We can have you setup within a few hours.  Simply download and complete the Central Access Service Agreement and fax it back to us.  We will then contact you with the details and settings to put in your devices.

Pricing

Our Database Hosting Service costs $120 per year for your first site, plus $79 per year for each additional site you add.  A site is considered to be one geographical location or outlet/store.  There is no limit to the number of users, terminals or hotspots you can have at each location. 

So if you have 10 internet cafe stores then the total price to host all your user accounts would be $120 + (9 x $79) = $831 per year, which works out to be a low $83 per site per year.  This is much much less than you would spend on setting up your own internet database server on a high-speed connection.
