What's included in the Surf Easy Internet Cafe Software Install Service?

1.  Software Installation

We will install and configure Surf Easy along with all of the following third-part applications:

2.  Software Configuration

• We will configure Surf Easy to run as per your requirements

• We will configure the optimal settings in Internet Explorer

• We will configure Windows Firewall

• We will configure Windows User Account settings

• We will configure Windows for best performance

• We will configure Windows Disk Protection

• We will configure your Anti Virus software

• We will configure your start menu, desktop wallpaper, power settings and user account settings

• We will configure internet content filtering (if required)

3.  Menu Setup

• If the system is a cashier terminal then we will enter your menu products and pricing

4.  Staff Setup

• If applicable, we will create your staff member accounts and ID cards

5.  Merchant Credit Card Gateway Setup

• If you want to accept credit card we will set you up with our Hosted Merchant Facility or provide you with the details for SecurePay Payment Gateway.

6.  Hardware Configuration

• We will check all your hardware to ensure it is compatible with Surf Easy

• If you have a MicroCoin QL Coin Validator then we will install that on the PC for you

• If you have a GBA Bill Acceptor then we will install that on the PC for you

• We will install and configure your cash drawer

• We will install and configure your receipt printer, kitchen printer or bar printer

• We will install and configure your touch screen

• We will install and configure your barcode scanners and slot readers

• We will update all hardware firmware and bios

• We will update all hardware drivers

• We will partition a separate drive on your hard disk specifically for documents & files

• We will partition a separate drive on your hard disk specifically for backups & restores

• We will partition a separate drive on your hard disk for the database files

• We will configure Windows Power Settings

7.  Multiple Terminal and Network Setup

• If applicable, we will configure your network settings for multiple cashier terminals

• If applicable, we will configure your firewall settings for network SQL access

• If applicable, we will configure your terminal for remote access & monitoring

8.  Disaster Recovery Protection

• We will create a backup image of your system on DVD so that you can quickly restore or reinstall your computer at anytime

• We will install install Windows Disk Protection to protect against such occurances

9.  Testing

• We will configure Windows for fastest performance

• We will test your PC and ensure it is ready for business use

• We will scan your hard drives to ensure they are not damaged

10.  Optional Upgrades

• You can upgrade to the full version of remote access for $69 per annum per terminal

How much does it cost?

The standard price for our installation service is $99 per PC if you ship your PC or hard disk drive to our office.  If you want us to complete the installation remotely through LogMeIn then the price is $220 per terminal because the process takes much longer remotely.  On-site assistance is available in certain areas for $90 per hour.

How long does the install service take?

The standard installation service in our office is usually done within 48 hours of us receiving your PC or hard disk drive. For more than one PC we try to have them returned to you within a week, as this allows us to configure and test the terminals in a networked environment.

For installation services completed remotely the process usually takes 2 business days per PC.

Shipping, Freight and Handling

You are responsible for shipping your computer hardware to and from us at your own expense.  As an alternative we can perform the installation service remotely over the internet for $220 per PC, but some of the steps will require some basic assistance from someone on-site at the location of the PC.
