Our SMS and Fax Service allows you to offer SMS texting services and fax sending services to your users, and also enables our SMS Alert Service to immediately notify you when your terminals or connections go offline The SMS and Fax Service is subscription based, and for a small fee of $240 per year you get 600 free SMS text message and fax message credits.  Included in the annual subscription is our SMS Alert Service, which will monitor your terminals and send you a text message if they stop responding or disconnect from the internet, and our SMS User Messaging Service, which allows your users to send SMS messages which is automatically charged to the user at any price you set. There is no limit to the number of terminals or devices you can use this service on.

SMS Alert Service Features

• can be set to monitor your Surf Easy terminals

• can be set to monitor a public IP address or other internet device

• if any of your terminals or devices stop responding, or disconnect from the internet, then our SMS Alert Service will send you a text message to notify you

• you can set any Australian mobile phone number for the alerts to be sent to.  In fact, you can set a different mobile phone number for every device or terminal

• you can also set the sensitivity by setting a minimum time period that the device needs to be non-responsive for before the system will send you an alert

• the Alert Service can monitor terminals and devices around the world

• the Alert Service is only compatible with Australian mobile phones, and is unable to send text messages to any international carriers or mobile phones connected to non-Australian service providers

SMS User Messaging Service Features

• service allows your users to send SMS text messages to any Australian mobile phone

How does it work?

User can generate SMS text messages and fax messages from within Surf Easy Desktop Edition.  These text messages are automatically submitted to our SMS and fax server which processes the message and provides a success or failure response back to Surf Easy.  If the message is successfully sent then the user is charged the appropriate fee set by you.  The charge is taken off the user's remaining balance in their user session.

The SMS Alert Service is run from a server based in our head office that continually monitors our Surf Easy licensing server and also pings your devices.  If a device does not respond within your chosen time-frame then the server will send an SMS message to your designated mobile phone number for the device that failed.

Compatible Products

The SMS User Messaging Service and Fax Mesaging Service is compatible with any terminal running Surf Easy Desktop Edition.

The SMS Alerts Service can be used with any of our Surf Easy software titles plus any device with a public IP address that can be remotely pinged.

How long does it take to setup?

We can have you setup within a few hours.  Simply download and complete the SMS Service Agreement and fax it back to us.  We will then contact you with the details and settings to put in your devices.

Pricing

Our SMS Service costs $240 per year, which includes 600 text messages.  Any text message credits that have not be used are forfeited at the end of the subscription period unless the subscription is renewed.
